The TREK

The Super Bowl is over.

Spring training games haven't begun.

First tipoff for March Madness is still a month away.

Ice Hockey has center stage on the American Sports Calendar.

But has USA Hockey and the NHL been using this spotlight well?

Time to find out. The Winter Olympics start this weekend in Vancouver and ice hockey has the primary spotlight. Conditions couldn't be better, so interest in hockey in the USA should be at an all-time high.

Is it? Well, that's what I'm going to find out. I'm going from DC to Maine, a pretty hockey friendly area, (and even to Canada) to ask people:

Are you watching the Winter Olympics?
